Providing customers with a first-class service is central to the philosophy at EP Risk Consultancy, so we are delighted when they respond with constructive comments on our training courses and assessments.
Here is a selection of testimonials:
Allan Hinchliffe, General Manager, Gardinia Windows, Huddersfield
Without a shadow of doubt health and safety regulations are a daunting prospect and legal obligation for any responsible employer. Faced with this onerous prospect, Gardinia Windows realised that we would need professional help, advice and training to be able to comply with and satisfy Health and Safety Executive regulations.
We took the decision to appoint EP Risk Consultants and spoke to the Health and Safety Manager Mick Brennan who quickly assured us of their expertise and help that they would provide.
Mick followed this up with a visit to our premises and immediately commenced with building our new H&S file including risk assessments and method statements.
We have just completed a full day of training in H&S good working practice, where all our installation fitters, surveyors, service engineers and senior management attended and fully took part.
This was taken by Mick Brennan who was informative, engaging and knowledgeable. We now feel more than confident and realise that we have the backing of EP Risk Consultants who will continue to help and support us. I would have no hesitation in recommending the EP Risk team to anyone requiring Health & Safety help.
Gill Rowe, Night Shift Manager, Snuggledown
I was apprehensive about doing the IOSH Managing Safely course, but I need not have worried.
Jason was professional and thorough, made me feel at ease and explained everything perfectly. I was not afraid to ask any question I was unsure of as I felt very relaxed within the group.
I learned a lot during the course:
- How to lead my team to prevent accidents happening in the workplace and to be more aware of the risk and hazards around them.
- How to identify hazards and eliminate them for a safer working environment
- How to investigate incidents or near misses.
- How to gather information on what caused an accident to prevent it happening again
- How to calculate levels of risk – low, medium or high– and then record your findings.
Overall, I found the course helpful and interesting
Vikki Lomax, Centre Manager, Yorkshire Children’s Centre
I wasn’t looking forward to the IOSH Managing Safely course, but from the moment we sat down on the first day Jason made us feel relaxed and went through what we would be doing on each of the three days.
There were four of us on the course and this was just enough, as we all came from different backgrounds and helped each other when one of us didn’t quite understand.
If we weren’t sure of something, Jason would explain and always gave us an example of what he meant but in a context which helped us to understand it.
It was full of interaction from everyone. I would definitely recommend the course.
Sharon Jones, Eurobung, Mirfield
I would like to thank you for the course as it has been extremely helpful – and a bit of an eye opener if I’m honest.
Lee Welsh, Parkinson-Spencer Refractories, Halifax
Thank you for last week, I thought the course content and delivery was excellent. Can we look at booking three further days in September, please, on COSHH, manual handling and ladder safety?’
Susan Lewis, Executive, international fashion retailer
Just to let you know the course on first aid, manual handling and fire safety went well yesterday. All 12 attendees turned up and it was a very full-on but informative day. As always, it was brilliantly executed by Mick Brennan who seems to make all the serious content fun. I came away feeling I had gained more, even though I attended the course three years ago.
I really enjoyed the IOSH Managing Safely course. The course was well presented in a relaxed friendly environment. The venue was great and the course gave me a much greater understanding of health and safety at work. I am looking forward to implementing some of the things I’ve learned in my workplace.
Faye Geary, Director of Support Services, Ambitions 4 Kirklees
The course was delivered in a professional manner and Mick always makes training enjoyable. He has that charisma about him he holds your attention. He makes it interesting and easy to understand and he will revisit anything you are not 100% sure of. The downside is parking but think this is an issue for everyone, but the venue is really nice. Lunch was provided which was very nice. Great to get complimentary tea and coffee to keep you going through the day.
